Cross Cultural Communication
The complexities of culture difference can impact on corporate performance. Be it the idioms of language or the fundamental diversity of beliefs and values, relations can be strained by a lack of knowledge and skill. Developing good intercultural relations internally and externally is paramount for international business success.
This product area is led by Warren Wright. Warren has worked in all corners of the globe. He manages to connect with all the different nationalities from the many countries he has worked in over the years. Much of our approach has been developed with practical experience in the field and research with leading thinkers on the subject.
Our approach helps:
- Develop strong intercultural relationships through greater sensitivity, empathy and understanding
- Improve results through better international team work and intercultural harmony
- Reduce intercultural conflict, misunderstanding and energy lost through unnecessary argument and disagreement
- Cultural Responsiveness, looks at the five dimensions of culture and other models to help understand diversity and how best to address this
- Cultural Connection, looks at ways to build effective relationships through knowledge of their own cultural drivers and the drivers of other cultures
- Inter Cultural Excellence, looks at the behaviour to avoid and universal etiquette for good communication
Pharmaceutical
OnTrack were heavily involved with the merger of two pharmaceutical organisations to form one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies. Instrumental to this project was the cross cultural integration of the people, not only of different nationalised cultures, but also the integration of two fundamentally different organisational cultures.
Insurance services
As part of a pan European business integration project OnTrack have been involved in the formation and alignment of a leadership culture across eleven different countries in nine different languages. Key to this project was awareness of the cultural differences and how the organisation could fully use these cultural differences to drive commercial value within the organisation.
Airline industry
OnTrack have been involved with two major players within the airline industry. One of these projects involves the alignment of three different organisations across five different countries on the Airbus 380 project. This particular project not only evaluated cultural and organisational differences but integrated project management processes for this global project team.
