Before 2020, hybrid working was a phrase rarely used and a term many people wouldnā€™t have heard before. However, this has now become a commonly used phrase for a lot of companies, so what is hybrid working?

A hybrid way of working is a flexible working model. This way of working combines employees working part of their time in their usual place of work such as an office with working remotely. This could be working from home or any other location which isnā€™t their usual workplace.

With multiple lockdowns during the last few years, forcing many employees to work remotely, companies have adapted to new ways of working. Many businesses discovered that employees working remotely were often just as productive compared to being in the office, which aided in the new shift. This new model is an effective way of combining the flexibility of remote working with office time, meaning you can meet up with your employees face to face.  It provides flexibility to the employees and can be a great benefit to promote when recruiting new staff.
